Mesmerizing View
Once Spring sets in, everything starts to turn green. The trees that appeared so dull and dry during the Winters, all of a sudden begin to look so magnificent with their fresh bloom of spouting green leaves. The grass turns into a handsome plush green lawn, within a span of a couple of days. The bright sunshine lifts our spirits and all of a sudden you begin to see people all over the place. People feel more enthusiastic and want to explore nature all over again. We were on our way to Detroit to visit a friend over a long weekend and decided to drive down from our home in Tennessee instead of flying. I had my camera on and was clicking photographs even through the window of our car, as my hubby drove. I spotted this mesmerizing view and asked him to stop, so I could take some good shots. There was this beautiful lake, glittering in the sunshine. The enthralling view of the plush green grass, scattered with tiny yellow flowers, looked like a pretty velvet blanket with the design of these tiny yellow flowers on it. The smell of fresh green grass was one to absolutely die for. The horses grazing in the far distance gave this whole panoramic view a hypnotic effect, that glued my feet to where I stood. I just needed to create this into a piece of art on a canvas.
My hubby is very encouraging about my art, and he saw the urge to paint in my eyes. The fun fact about this artwork is that we stopped at the closest Michael's art store available and brought the required material (which of course, I had at home), there and then. One large 24" by 30" stretched canvas, new brushes and the set of basic paints that I would require. I took all this material to our friend's house, and painted over the weekend, while my hubby had a good time with his friend. I added the couple (That's me and my hubby) sitting under the tree with their dog to give the artwork a more appealing look. I would love my viewers to enjoy this artwork and feel encouraged to go out and enjoy the Spring and Summer.
